What is Independent Living?

Independent Living is an important service provided by your local pharmacy. It allows the customer to choose from a wide range of quality products specially designed to assist those less able.

The Independent Living product range will meet your every possible need: Mobility, Bathing & Showering, Toileting, Personal Care, Bed & Chair, Comfort, Health & Leisure, Around the Home, and Kitchen & Dining. The Independent Living retail catalogue can be seen here.

Where can I buy the Independent Living product range?

You can buy the Independent Living product range from your local participating pharmacy.

First you must locate the pharmacy closest to you. You can find your local participating pharmacy here Pharmacy Locator.

When you visit the pharmacy you'll find the Independent Living catalogue stand. Here you select what you need and complete your Order Form. You then hand in your Order Form and pay the pharmacy.

Your order is delivered directly to your door. The aim is to despatch your order within three working days and no later than twenty working days.

Do Independent Living products come with a guarantee?

Yes. All products within the Independent Living range are guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship for one year.

Regular visual checks are recommended to ensure your product is not showing undue signs of wear and tear.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Can I return the order should I wish to?

Yes. The order (or part of the order) may be returned within fourteen days of receipt.

The goods will be collected from you without charge. The pharmacy will refund your payment five working days after the goods are returned. The original delivery charge is non-refundable.

Returned goods must be unused and in their original packaging. Hygiene products and garments must be returned unopened. The goods must be rewrapped and ready for collection.

A full explanation of the return policy and procedure will be included with your order.

Do I pay a delivery charge on my order?

Yes. There is an €8.50 delivery charge on all orders. Delivery is by private courier and is recorded and insured.

The cost of the delivery remains the same irrespective of order quantity, size, or weight.

Items may be sent separately and therefore you may not receive your entire order in one delivery. However, there is only one delivery charge per order.

There is no additional charge to return orders. However, the original delivery charge is non-refundable.

Can I reclaim VAT on my order?

It may be possible to claim a VAT refund on your order. Details can be found here VAT & Tax Forms and by visiting www.revenue.ie.
